Diversity and Inclusion Grants
At KR 2026, we are committed to fostering an inclusive community with opportunities for all participants without regard to age, religion, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability.
Following the KR Inc. D&I policy, there will be funding available to provide grants to attend KR 2026. These grants may come with a registration fee waiver and/or partial funding for travel costs. Those who lack the means to pay for registration or who cannot afford to travel to attend the conference may apply for financial support by submitting an application to the D&I grants until the 30th of April, 2026. The budget is modest, so we encourage applicants to seek additional funding.
The grants are aimed at attendees (Postdocs, PhD students, researchers, academics) from underrepresented groups and countries in KR. We are planning on selecting applicants based on wide diversity and inclusion criteria. Notice that applications will be evaluated based only on the submitted materials and provided justifications. Privacy will be respected and preference will be given to first-time attendees and applicants who do not have other means of support.
Please note that people who apply for a grant should wait for the notification on the 7th of May, 2026, before registering at the main conference.
Students applying for Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) grants are also encouraged to apply to the FLoC Student Volunteer Program. Participating as a student volunteer is a great way to engage more deeply with the conference, connect with the community, and contribute to the event’s success. In addition, accepted volunteers will be eligible for a waiver of registration fees, helping to further reduce the cost of attendance. We strongly recommend submitting an application to both opportunities to maximize your chances of participating. More information can be found on the FLoC registration page: https://www.floc26.org/registration.
