Venue

KR 2012 will be held in the conference rooms of Università di Roma "La Sapienza", Via Caserta 6, 00161 Rome, Italy.

The conference site is in the main university area of Rome, close to the main campus of La Sapienza. It is located in a very well connected area of Rome, within one hundred meters from the Metro stop Policlinico (line B), 4 Metro stops from Colosseum and the Roman Forum (Colosseo stop, line B), 6 Metro stops from Spanish Steps (2 line B + 3 line A to Spagna stop), 8 Metro stops from St. Peter's Basilica (2 line B + 5 line A to Ottaviano stop), and few hundreds meters from Villa Torlonia.

How to reach the conference site

From the Termini railway station:

Take the metro line B, direction Rebibbia, and stop at Policlinico (2 stops from Termini), which is 100 meters from the venue.

From the Tiburtina railway station:

Take the metro line B, direction Laurentina, and stop at Policlinico (2 stops from Tiburtina).

From the international "Leonardo da Vinci" Fiumicino (FCO) airport:

The best options are:

1) Take the "Leonardo express" service to Termini railway station (and then follow directions from Termini railway station). The train takes about 30 minutes to reach Termini from the Airport, and leaves usually every 30 minutes. The cost is 14€.

2) Take Sabina-Fiumicino line (FR1): Stop in Tiburtina railway station (and then follow directions from Tiburtina railway station). The train takes about 40 minutes to reach Tiburtina from the airport and leaves usually every 15 minutes (on holidays, every 30 minutes). The cost is 8€.

For both these options, visit http://www.trenitalia.com/ and look up the timetable (indicate 'Fiumicino Airport', 'Roma Termini' or 'Roma Tiburtina' as departure and/or arrival, and vice-versa for the return).

3) The are also bus services from Fiumicino airport to Termini railway station (and vice-versa) offered by private companies. The main ones are Terravision and Sitbusshuttle.

4) Taxis from the Fiumicino airport take about 45 minutes (it may take more in rush hours) and costs around 50-60€.

From the International "G. B. Pastine" Ciampino (CIA) airport:

You can reach Termini railway station catching the Terravision Bus or the Sitbusshuttle Bus from Ciampino airport (and vice-versa). The trip takes around 30 minutes. Taxis from the Ciampino airport take about 30 minutes (it may take more in rush hours) and costs around 40-50€.

Welcome reception

The welcome reception will be held on the roof of the conference site on Sunday evening.

Banquet

KR 2012 Banquet is scheduled on June 12 and will take place in Tivoli, Hotel Ristorante Adriano (Largo M. Yourcenar 2, Villa Adriana, Tivoli) after the visit of Villa Adriana (Hadrian's Villa). Buses will be available from the conference site at 15:30. The price of this social event is included in the KR 2012 registration fee.
