The Jury of the "Dov Gabbay Prize for Logic and Foundations", chaired by Philip Welch, and the "Initiative for Logic and Foundations" (ILOAF asbl), are very pleased to announce that in 2025 the prize is awarded to

        * Alexandru Baltag (ILLC, University of Amsterdam) *

for his multiple and seminal contributions to Philosophical Logic, in particular his work on Dynamic Epistemic Logic and its applications in multiple disciplines, or his exploration of Epistemic Topology for addressing central questions in Philosophy. His capacity to combine philosophical depth, original thinking, and mathematical strength, are perfectly aligned with the spirit of the Dov Gabbay Prize.

This is the third edition of the "Dov Gabbay Prize for Logic and Foundations", an international research prize launched in 2022. It honours the extraordinary and multi-faceted scientific and editorial work of Dov Gabbay (https://iloaf.org/dov.html), known in particular for his extensive collection of specialized Logic Handbooks.
