The KRR Research Group at UNSW is seeking a Research Associate for a Discovery Project funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC). The project aims to develop Artificially Intelligent Companions that are able to meaningfully engage with experiences of loneliness.

The role involves a combination of theoretical research on epistemic reasoning and planning together with practical implementation to integrate with existing digital AI companions developed at UNSW: https://feel-lab.org/research_projects/ai-viv-and-friends/

The successful candidate will be offered a two-year contract, with remuneration at Academic Level A, starting at A$110,059 plus 17% superannuation.
