The Artificial Intelligence Group at the University of Hagen (FernUniversität in
Hagen), Germany, offers a full-time position (TV-L 13) for a post-doctoral researcher
in the area of knowledge representation and reasoning. Possible topics include

- formal argumentation
- non-monotonic reasoning
- inconsistency measurement
- belief dynamics
- probabilistic reasoning

The position should be filled by October 2024, but a later start point is
possible as well. The initial employment will be for 36 months. An extended
employment is possible, but cannot be guaranteed at this point.

The successful candidate will perform research in the Artificial Intelligence Group,
teach courses for Bachelor and Master students, and help in the general
administrative duties of the group.

The successful candidate should have a Master's degree in Computer Science or
some related field and a PhD in the area of artificial intelligence in general and
knowledge representation in particular. In addition, candidates are expected to have
strong analytical skills, programming skills and research experience in the field of logic
and knowledge representation. Experience in research on one of the topics
mentioned above is desirable but not mandatory.
