[PlanetKR] Two PostDoc/PhD positions in Knowledge Representation and Reasoning at Ulm University (Germany)

We are seeking to fill two open positions at Ulm University within the Institute of Artificial Intelligence:
- One position is for doctoral research within our structured doctoral programme doctoral programme “Data Science and Analytics: Trust in and Control of Algorithms” on the topic of "Explaining Classification Decisions of Hybrid Systems”:

The position is funded via a scholarship with a tax-free income of 1.450 EUR per month. 
- The second position is within the project 2LIKE "Artificial Intelligence for Individualised Learning Path and Processes", where the focus is on combining planning and ontologies for generating learning path according to students’ preferences and background:

The position is for doctoral or postdoctoral research (full-time, E 13 TV-L).
For both positions, candidates are required to hold an MSc degree (or equivalent) at in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field and should be fluent in English. German language skills are a bonus, but are not required. Knowledge in symbolic AI (ontologies, reasoning, planning, knowledge modelling) is a plus. The starting date is flexible, but as soon as possible. The positions do not have any teaching obligations, although involvement in teaching is possible if desired by the candidate.
