[PlanetKR] [jobs] Two postdoc positions in planning & robotics and epistemic planning

Dear all,

We are looking for two postdoctoral researchers to join the Department of
Computer Science and the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics at Heriot-Watt
University as part of two projects recently funded by the UK Engineering
and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC):

Postdoctoral Researcher 1 (ORCA, https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/OFiOCVARNyFx0ymnTGsdyo?domain=orcahub.org: The postdoc will
work on applications of temporal planning to robot task and mission
planning, and build interfaces for plan explainability. Task and mission
planning capabilities will be integrated with robot platforms (including
underwater and ground-based robots) and robot simulators. Plan
explainability will be used to support other project work on text/speech
input and plan visualisation for human users.

Postdoctoral Researcher 2 ("Start Making Sense",
https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/THPjCWLV8zf5zqZLhxSCUx?domain=start-marking-sense.org The postdoc will work on applications of
epistemic planning to human-robot interaction and explainable AI.
Behavioural information and metrics of success provided by the cognitive
science and human communication researchers on the project will be
integrated with planning techniques to produce human-like explanations of
plans, to be demonstrated on robot platforms or in simulation.
