The 14th European Conference on Symbolic and Quantitative Approaches
to Reasoning with Uncertainty (ECSQARU 2017) will be held in Lugano
(Switzerland), on July 10-14, 2017, jointly with the 10th
International Symposium on Imprecise Probability: Theories and
Applications (ISIPTA ’17).

Topics of interest

Possible topics include, but are not limited to: Algorithms for
uncertain inference, Argumentation systems,Automated planning and
acting, Bayesian networks and Causal networks, Belief functions,
Belief revision and merging, Classification and Clustering, Decision
theory and graphs, Default reasoning, Description logics with
uncertainty, Empirical studies of algorithms, Foundations of
reasoning, Fuzzy sets and Fuzzy Logic, Game theoretic
agents,Implementation and applications of uncertain systems, Imprecise
probabilities, Inconsistency handling, Information fusion, Learning
for uncertainty formalisms, Logics for reasoning under uncertainty,
Markov decision processes, Probabilistic logics , Possibility theory
and Possibilistic logic, Preferences, Rough sets, Semantic Web and
uncertainty, Uncertainty in database, Uncertainty & data integration,
Uncertainty & data mining, Decision making under uncertainty

Important Dates

March 4th, 2017: Paper submission deadline (updated)

April 2nd, 2017: Author notification

Friday, Apr 28, 2017: Camera-ready copy due


Submitting a paper to ECSQARU 2017

Accepted papers will be published electronically in the Springer
Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence subseries (LNCS series). Each
submission will be reviewed by peers using a single-blind process. All
accepted papers will be presented at the conference. At least one of
the paper’s authors should register and attend the conference to
present the work.

Easychair and Author Kit

Papers must be submitted electronically through Easychair. Download
the Springer LNCS author kit here and follow the guidelines here and
here. Papers should not be longer than 10 pages, references included

IJAR Special Issue

After the conference, a special issue with a selection of the accepted
papers will be published in an expanded version in the International
Journal of Approximate Reasoning.
