[PlanetKR] Call for Participation for the KR Conventicle

KR Conventicle 2015 - In memory of Prof. Norman Foo (1943 - 2015)



The KR Conventicle is a gathering of Australian researchers and their friends and colleagues from overseas working on all aspects of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (KRR) and related disciplines. KR Conventicles have been organised sporadically, typically aligned with a visit to Australia by a sizeable number of distinguished KR researchers. The purpose of the conventicle is to present latest results and current research in the wider field of KRR, to discuss about past and future research directions, and to establish network with like-minded colleagues.



As the founding father of KRR research in Australia, our dear friend and colleague Norman Foo, who passed away earlier this year, has always been involved in past KR conventicles and everyone who has ever attended one will vividly remember Norman's contributions.



To honour Norman's leading role in the Australian KRR community, we dedicate this KR Conventicle to Norman. Therefore, in addition to the usual presentations and discussions on the state-of-the-art in KRR, we also invite contributions related to all aspects of Norman's research.



Everyone is invited to attend and to propose a relevant talk, a presentation, a discussion topic, or any other related activity. The organisers will select a number of proposals to create an exciting and fun day in memory of Norman.

The KR Conventicle 2015 will be held as part of the Australasian Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI'2015) on December 1, 2015 at the QT Hotel in Canberra ACT Australia. Attending the KR Conventicle is included for all participants of the AI'2015 conference, or can be registered separately as a "Workshop only" registration using the following link: http://www.ai2015.unsw.adfa.edu.au/registration.html
