Open position: researcher (Ph.D. student or post-doctoral level, TV-L
13) for contextual reasoning and representation
The TecO research group at the chair of Pervasive Computing at Karlsruhe
Institute of Technology (KIT) invites applications for a researcher
(doctoral student or post-doctoral level) in the area of contextual
reasoning for digital preservation of business processes within the EU
FP7 project TIMBUS (Timeless Business: http://timbusproject.net/ and
http://www.teco.edu/research/projects/timbus/index.html).
The ideal candidate combines a strong background in knowledge
representation/engineering and semantic web technologies with openness
to interdisciplinary scientific viewpoints and application areas.
Applicants must have a master (doctoral student position) or Ph.D.
(post-doctoral position) in computer science or a closely related field,
and be fluent in English and/or German.
KIT combines the mission of a university with that of a large-scale
research center of the Helmholtz Association. With 8000 employees and an
annual budget of EUR 650 millions, KIT is one of the largest research
and education institutions worldwide. The TecO at KIT is an
internationally well-renowned research group in Ubiquitous Computing and
wireless sensor networks and has significant experience in the area of
reasoning in context-aware systems.
