The organizing committee of ICAPS 2011, the 21st International
Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling, invites you to
participate in the conference, which will take place in Freiburg,
Germany, from June 11-16. ICAPS 2011 is part of the ICAPS conference
series, the premier forum for exchanging news and research results on
theory and applications of intelligent planning and scheduling
technology.

The conference will feature a pre-conference program of eight
workshops, seven tutorials, and a doctoral consortium (for the first
time held on a separate day, June 11). The main technical program will
include 48 oral presentations, selected out of a body of 138
submissions, as well as invited talks by

* Jason D. Williams, AT&T Labs Research, on "Spoken dialog systems
as an application of planning under uncertainty",
* Pascal Van Hentenryck, Brown University, on
"Last-Mile Disaster Preparedness and Recovery", and
* Michael P. Wellman, University of Michigan, on "Empirical
Game-Theoretic Analysis and the Behavior of Software Agents".

The early registration deadline for the conference is April 29, 2011.
To register, please go to

ICAPS 2011 takes place during a major holiday period in Germany and
Freiburg is a popular destination. Hotels in Freiburg tend to fill up
quickly, and we strongly advise you not to leave your travel planning
to the last minute. Information on the venue, on traveling to Freiburg
and on accommodation is available from the conference website:

ICAPS 2011 is colocated with the ACAI Summer School on Automated
Planning and Scheduling (http://acai11.informatik.uni-freiburg.de), to
be held on June 7-10 in Munzingen near Freiburg. Participants of the
summer school who plan to attend ICAPS will need to arrange for
accommodation in Freiburg starting from the evening of June 10.
Transportation from the summer school location to Freiburg will be
provided.

We look forward to seeing you in Freiburg in June!
