30 minutes in length and on the final day 25 minutes. Presenters should
leave at least 5 mins for questions.
Camera Ready Papers
Accepted papers should be no more than 11 pages.
Please note that the due date for camera ready copies in
pdf format is
March 3, 2004. The publisher of the proceedings is AAAI. Please go to
http://www.aaai.org/Publications/Author/kr-submissions.html
for Author Instructions.
Submission Procedure
Paper submission is electronic and paper due date
is 11:59pm (23:59) Pacific Standard Time November 26, 2003.
Paper Format
The Program Committee will review extended abstracts rather than complete
papers.Submissions must be at most twelve (12) pages, excluding the
bibliography, with a maximum of 38 lines per page and an average of 75
characters per line (corresponding to the LaTeX article-style, 12pt). If
you have a separate title page containing at most the title, author
information, keywords and abstract, this will not be counted in the twelve
page limit. Overlength submissions will be rejected without review.
Electronic Submission of Papers
Authors must submit an online title page and an electronic version of
their paper in pdf format only. Electronic papers not in pdf format will
be rejected without review. Papers cannot be submitted by email or FAX!
To submit a paper, you first need to register in Confmaster system as
new author, and then submit your paper. These two steps are described
hereafter:
1. Register Author
2. Register Paper
- Once your account has been created, you can login.
- On the left hand menu appears submenu "Author". Click on the
link
labeled "Register Paper", and a form will open. All of the fields marked
with a "*" are required. At the bottom of this page, you enter the name of
your PDF file.
- Once this form is completed, click on "Submit" button. Your
paper is
now uploaded and you will receive an email confirming your submission
to
KR2004.
NOTES
-
You can upload your paper at any time, and you can re-upload your
paper
any time before the submission deadline. To do this, login to the
KR2004 Paper Submission site and click, in the right hand column, on
"view own
papers". A list of papers you have registered will appear. On the
EXTREME RIGHT HAND side of the web page (you may need to scroll the
window
to the right to see it), there are two "floppy disk" icons. The left
one
(with an up arrow) is to upload (or re-upload a new version) of your
paper. The right one (with a down arrow) is to
download the latest version held by the KR2004
Paper Submission site.
- Abstracts need not be anonymous - ie you can have the author's names
on the pdf of the extended abstract.
- Appendices beyond the 12 page limit are not allowed! Authors could
point to extra material on the web however reviewers are under no
obligation to access or read the extra material.
- The online abstract length is limited to 500 words. New lines
(carriage
returns) are counted as a word.
-
You can delete or edit a paper you registered, even if some part of the
registration failed (such as overlong abstract). Just click on "view own
papers" and then the icons on the FAR RIGHT of the page let you edit or
delete your registration.
- The HTML generated by the KR2004 Online Submisison System assumes a
fairly wide
screen, and as a result in many of the tables that appear there are active
buttons on the far right side of the page. It is likely that you may have
to scroll
the web browser to the right to see some of these buttons.
- PC members are already registered with the KR
on-line
submission system. You do not need to register again. There is a
"Password Forgotten?" link on the front page which will email you your
password if you forgot it. If your email address has changed since you
were registered, you will need to send mail to
KR2004Chairs@it.uts.edu.au
and one of us will update your email address.
If you have difficulties please contact the Program Chairs KR2004Chairs@it.uts.edu.au.
