The Knowledge-based Systems Group (KBSG, kbsg.rwth-aachen.de) in the
Department of Computer Science at RWTH Aachen University is looking
for a Ph.D. student and/or PostDoc with research interests in
Knowledge Representation & Reasoning and Cognitive Robotics.<br>
<br>
We are looking for candidates who are interested in fundamental
research in areas such as reasoning about action and change, logical
approaches to reasoning about uncertainty, automated planning and
scheduling, high-level robot control, goal reasoning, and
neuro-symbolic reasoning.<br>
<br>
The position is available immediately, and the appointment is for up
to three years with a salary scale in the German public sector of E
13 TV-L or E 14 TV-L, depending on qualification.<br>
<br>
Ph.D. students are expected to have a master's degree in Computer
Science or a closely related field. PostDocs should have a Ph.D. in
Artificial Intelligence with a focus on Knowledge Representation and
Reasoning.<br>

The Department of Computer Science at RWTH Aachen University ranks
among the top three CS Departments in Germany. KBSG is part of the
recently founded RWTH Center for Artificial Intelligence
(ai.rwth-aachen.de), which provides a stimulating research
environment in Artificial Intelligence at the highest international
level. <br>
